There have been around forty new CD releases by Northern Territory artists this year – a bumper crop of original music that doesn’t look like wilting any time soon. And they’re just the ones that Music NT has been able to keep track of! Without doubt, one of the NT’s most well-loved and well-known original music bands is roymackonkey. In the best sense they’ve “been around”, “been there, done that” and have "been back for more” after moving Down South for a few years playing the Melbourne music circuit for the ‘educational’ experience. Testament to their calibre is that their music is still as juiced up and energetic as the day they formed in 1997.
